LOCATION
Kos Island, Greece.
Liamis Dive Centre is a boat-based Dive Centre, located in the main harbour of Kos Town, and has been in operation for over twenty five years.
A regular bus service operates within the town and its suburbs. Buses also run from other resorts to Kos Town enabling divers to join the boat well in advance of departure - no matter where they are staying on the island.
DIVE BOAT APOLLON
Our dive boat Apollon is a twenty six metre steel vessel designed and built specifically for diving. It has three decks; the upper deck allows you to top up your tan as we sail to or from our dive sites. It's also a good vantage point for dolphin spotting. The mid deck offers shade and is where the separate toilets and a snack bar are located. All diving equipment stays on board so there is no carrying of heavy scuba sets from trucks to dive sites. Cylinders are refilled on board by our personnel.
DIVER EDUCATION
LDC has assembled an international team of dedicated, highly qualified and experienced instructors. Whatever diver qualification you are seeking you are assured instructor supervision of the highest quality at all times.
If you are a qualified diver and wish to develop your diver skills, knowledge and experience, LDC can offer a whole range of courses from Adventure diver to Divemaster, as well as Speciality Courses such as Naturalist, Photography and Enriched Air Nitrox.
If you are not a qualified diver let us train you! You will study independantly and with your instructor. Learning aids such as videos and quizzes assist you as you complete the knowledge and theory needed to ensure safe and enjoyable dives. In-water training is initially conducted in shallow water, and all skills are demonstrated by your instructor before you yourself attempt, and master, the skills. At the end of your course you will be qualified to dive the world over.
DIVING TRIPS
For Qualified Divers: LDC can offer daily two-dive trips, leaving at 10 o'clock in the morning. Divers from all training agencies and certification levels are welcome (please remember to bring your logbook and certification card). All dives are escorted and numbers are kept low to ensure your dive in the crystal clear, tide and current free water, is relaxed and enjoyable. LDC can offer various wall, cavern, archway, island, wreck and reef dives - all from the comfort of the dive boat Apollon.
For Beginner Divers: If you wish to try diving for the first time, or have dived but do not hold a diver qualification(see diver education), join us on board the Apollon and let LDC introduce you to the magic of the underwater world! Introductory dives are held daily in a sheltered bay offering swimming pool like conditions.Your introductory dive will be with one of our instructors - and many fish, brightly coloured wrasse and larger silver bream. You can impress family and friends with the underwater photograph we take of you on your dive.
TWO ISLAND HOLIDAYS
Divers and non-divers can enjoy a relaxing two island holiday organized by LDC. You arrange for return flights to Kos and we do the rest! Your holiday is spent on the islands of Kos and Kalymnos (the famous sponge island). You have time to dive and explore the islands during the day then relax in the evening in a local taverna with your new found dive buddies...
